Exercise is a very powerful compliment to traditional medical intervention and should be continued once physical therapy ends. To maximize your rehabilitation and ease the transition into an exercise based program, Thrive facilitates personal training services with a select group of fitness professionals in the same therapeutic gym environment that you became comfortable with during your therapy sessions.
With approval from your doctor, our certified fitness professionals will communicate with the physical therapy staff to develop individualized exercise programs that continue to improve ones overall wellness and health.
Personal training will keep you motivated with new fitness routines while introducing a variety of exercises to help build strength and prevent re-injury. They will work with you to set realistic goals and perfect safe, proper exercise technique.

Elizabeth has been involved in fitness since childhood, participating in multiple team and individual sports. She became a certified personal trainer in 2007 through NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) and also completed certification courses in Schwinn Cycling (Spin Instruction), Group Exercise Instruction, NASM Stretch and Release and Annette Lang Pre and Post-Natal personal training.
While Elizabeth has achieved excellent results in weight management and overall physical fitness with her clients, her specialty has continued to be working with clients with postural/structural issues, injury and pain. She works frequently with people who are coming out of physical therapy or pregnancy, and transitions them into fitness while re-balancing muscles and incorporating therapeutic exercises into the workouts. Additionally, she works closely with clients to help plan for the fitness and health of clients in their daily lives outside of the gym.
Elizabeth has worked with people of all ages and fitness levels and seeks, above all else, to help clients understand their bodies and to teach them strategies for improving all aspects of personal fitness/strength, health and well-being.
Scott has worked in the health and fitness industry since 2007. He holds several certifications in personal training and fitness including ACE (American Council on Exercise), CrossFit Level 1 Coach, Nautilus Schwinn Spinning Instructor, SCW Fitness Instructor, and SCW Group Strength Training Instructor. Along with personal training here at Thrive Physical Therapy, he has taught indoor cycling at Equinox and TheMonsterCycle.
Scott has been passionate about health and fitness for most of his life. He has worked with people from all fitness levels ranging for those new to fitness, pregnant mothers, collegiate athletes, elders and celebrities. He is committed to help every client reach their fitness goals through individualized training programs. Scott is highly experienced in helping with weight management and weight loss.
He has experience working with clients to manage osteoporosis, high blood pressure, obesity, and in post rehabilitation for orthopedic injuries.
