Deb Goetz has more than twenty years of clinical experience in manual orthopedics, sports physical therapy and rehabilitation. Ms. Goetz is one of only 250 Certified Functional Manual Therapists (CFMT's) in the United States and she completed work toward a fellowship with the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapists (AAOMPT).
Deb specializes in health and sports performance enhancement through an integrated approach that includes education, counsel, and exercise to foster physical strength and injury prevention. As part of a development team at the United States Olympic Education Center, she assisted in the creation of sport specific exercise programs for Olympic level athletes.
Ms. Goetz founded Fun Fitness Physical Therapy, PC where she provided home health rehabilitation services to patients and developed a unique and comprehensive fall prevention program built upon a complex analysis of sensory input, muscle strength, attention capacity, disease, and medications. She helped to design and implement a research study to determine the effect of physical therapy and exercise on falls with a major supplier of senior services in NYC.
Deb develops and teaches continuing education curriculum including: Diagnostic Evaluation, an evaluation strategy that shows a therapist exactly where and what they need to treat in order to heal their patients and the ARMS release technique, a comprehensive manual therapy release technique which releases connective tissue dysfunctions.
She has a special interest in treating disorders of the foot and ankle and has developed a unique method for treating Bunions.
